Padmasambhava’s Seven Line Prayer as a Path to Uncovering Our Pristine Mind
With Orgyen Chowang Rinpoche
December 2 - 3, 2017
A retreat based on Jamgon Mipham Rinpoche’s classic practice text Shower of Blessings
The Seven-Line Prayer is perhaps the most important invocation and a foundation for much of the practices in the Nyingma, or oldest, tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. Layered in rich, transformative meaning, the prayer has the capacity to swiftly bring the blessings of Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava. While some types of meditation are aimed at calming the mind, the practice on the Seven Line Prayer is a means to uncover the pristine charachter of our own minds, and in doing so bring mental and emotional richness and extraordinary energy into our lives.
Jamgon Mipham Rinpoche, one of the greatest scholars and practitioners of the 19th century, wrote both a commentary on the Seven Line Prayer and a liturgy to put it into practice.
Join us for this weekend long exploration of this text which will include practical instructions and group practice.
