Important Note: We have updated this video following additional guidance from Orgyen Chowang Rinpoche. Rinpoche advised that the Short Vajrasattva Mantra and Vajra Guru Mantra be recited more slowly and with greater clarity and volume than in the original video. Rinpoche recorded sample recitations, which have now been incorporated so you can practice along or use them as a reference for your own recitation. These updates have slightly increased the length of the video; however, it remains an example of an approximately one-hour daily practice session.
We are happy to be providing this new resource for the 100 Day Ngondro Meditation Challenge.
For those who have the intention of completing the minimum Ngondro accumulations that Orgyen Chowang Rinpoche has encouraged (see below), this video may be followed as a guided practice or simply used as an example of a complete daily session, showing how, with about an hour of practice per day, these accumulations can be completed over the course of 100 days.
This video is meant only as an example to help make the minimum accumulations more accessible. As always, what is most important is developing the experience of each element of Ngondro practice and practicing at whatever pace best supports you in developing this experience.
See below for further suggestions on how to use this video.
Video Overview:
This video presents an example of a daily practice session using the “Balanced Emphasis Throughout the Challenge” approach described in the PDF provided.
The specific number of accumulations presented in the video are based on the example of a daily practice that would allow you to complete the requested minimum accumulations in 100 days.
See the table below for a description of the daily accumulations reflected in the video.
