This special daylong retreat is an opportunity for people who have already taken refuge to renew their vows as well as for people who have not had a formal refuge ceremony to take refuge and receive refuge vows for the first time.
Orgyen Chowang Rinpoche has explained that each year taking refuge in a formal way is an important support for our path so regardless of whether you have taken refuge before or not, this daylong retreat is a wonderful way to ground your practice in the foundation of taking refuge.
Rinpoche will present teachings on refuge according to the special Vajrayana and Dzogchen approach to taking refuge. Often when people take refuge, they do so only on an outer level, but there are also inner and secret levels of taking refuge. Rinpoche will teach on and guide us through all 3 levels of taking refuge and will bestow a formal refuge ceremony according to this Dzogchen style of taking refuge.
This retreat is open to everyone interested in taking refuge and receiving refuge vows.
Whether it is your first time taking refuge in a formal way or you are renewing your refuge vows, we hope you will join us either in-person or online for this special daylong retreat on the 3 levels of refuge in Dzogchen.
